MFL 4 Bradford South
This blog used to be for the Strategic Learning Network members in Bradford South, but I have now relocated to Hampshire so this is where I will share what I know. You can read my new adventures at http://mfldownsouth.blogspot.co.uk/

Change of name...
Well, I thought I should change the name of my blog, so instead of MFL 4 Bradford South please refer to it as MFL Down South, makes sense really, having move 250 miles away! This is a temporary blog until I set up my new one in WordPress (I think) and I also want to create a school one for my pupils at BPS.
European Day of Languages - 26th September 2010
The European day of Languages falls on a Sunday this year so we will celebrate it on Friday 24th September instead.
I have just finished the materials for my EDL display so I will put them up tomorrow.
I want to try to raise the profile of MFL at school so planning to have a quiz for all tutor groups to complete during registration, together with prize giving in assembly for the the winning tutor groups. (and Routes for Languages certificates and badges)
I am also trying to encourage non-MFL specialists to start their lesson with a few words in a foreign language...should be fun!
KS4 students are also going to go around the school with a video camera, interviewing staff in French or Spanish!

No remembero how to say 11!
I'm going to teach Spanish in my new school and looking forward it, I'm a little rusty though! Clarre Seccombe reminded me of the brilliant video, 1st semester of Spanish Love song! Brilliant!

Final SLN meeting - 14th July 2010 -
I'm starting to prepare the materials for my final SLN meeting. Feels a little weird really! I hope you can all make it, it will be nice to day goodbye to everybody and hopefully we'll keep in touch! No doubt I will create another blog down south!
We are going to look at some brilliant web tools I have been using in lessons, including Image Chef, Wordle, Tarsia and Jigsaw Planet.

World Cup Mania
Here's the Knaan and Fefe Official World Cup song in French. I've also created a gap-fill activity to go with it. Just email me if you want it. My year 7 are going to sing it in Assembly!
